padma09 - Onion pakodas is mouth watering. We had team lunch day before and had gone to a restaurant and I relished all the starters mainly tandoor starters and pakodas which I love them.I ate so many of them.I am enjoying all oily and spicy food(ofcourse within the limit) as I know we will not be allowed to eat spicy and oily once LO comes out as it is transferred to LO too

And I really like fried items

I do get heartburns at times but its not like everyday.May be if I eat oily or spicy things. But I have heard that if you have heartburns it means LO will be having good hairs. Dont know it might be grandmother's tales.
Akumar - Yes crochet is faster than knitting. However I dont know knitting and know only crochet.I have made a small piece to be kept below flower vase and that itself took months.I had started it in the first trimester after hearing we should be doing the things we love and ended finishing it in second trimester

I am yet to start with blanket.
Actually from now I am retiring from household work for few months

My mom is here for 15 days after which I have Seemantham on 22nd Nov at in-laws place and I will be going to mom's place for delivery and also starting maternity leave as I will be entering 9th month.
Anitha - Swelling of legs can be avoided to some extent if you do proper exercise.
Whenever you sit in office try to keep your feet elevated.
Also we have Yoga classes in our office. She teaches us prenatal exercises.Yesterday she taught few foot exercises due to which we will not have leg swelling. She told us to do below things:
1.Rotate your feet clockwise and anti-clockwise inhaling and exhaling.(20-25times)
2.Walk on your toes one side and then walk back on your heels. Its also very good for calf pains.
3. Stretch your feet straight and back(20-25 times)
I hope this helps.
Also as Padma said take breaks and take a walk during office hours.I usually take seperate breaks for going to the restroom, for drinking water, going to the pantry and as all these are far from my desk its a nice walk till there. Also limit your salt intake.
Shwethag - I have also heard that stretch marks are hereditary and it seems my mom had them

Still am trying to avoid them.Lets c if I get successful.
I too have a line running from my chest to pelvic region. But I have heard its due to pregnancy hormones so nothing to worry about.
About maintaining wt my DH has already planned my menu after delivery to come back in shape

But now he doesnt stop me from eating anything unless he thinks it will harm LO.So I am enjoying all food

I have to come back to shape as my mom and MIL both are medium-built.
So I will not be allowed to bloat anyways.
Girls am seeing lot of hairs growing on my tummy these days.
There are few hairs right below my belly button which are getting longer n longer day by day.Is anyone else having it?
My DH jokes that those are LO's hairs peeping out as its not having room inside
Today again its a long post.

I think its just a normal girl's nature.Even if we talk for long hours it would be always less
Take care ladies..
