    I am a new to this forum .I liked your pictures.I was in Oman for 2 years but missed out on visiting Salalah.Now after seeing the pictures.I will definitely try to visit this year.

    You make me more eager to visit Salalah...

    Your snaps and the comments were interesting....

    You are right about the people working there under hot sun...I too have always seen them with awe...the guys in the construction of the high rising buildings sply .....they are there in the open for almost through out the day....though construction work is relatively easier with the hollow blocks being used...still :bowdownto be there under the trying circumtances. On seeing them I used to feel, ' am I fussy..?' complaining about the heat that will make my face go red and sweat..if I am out for a short distance...

    Hi uma,

    I have been in and off oman for almost say 5 years.. and i am still exploring...it is a very beautiful place. and salalah during khareef is more nice...

    most of you would have gone through my blog on alhotti caves and blind fish.

    Then I had told will capture the rock strata from above and also the cave entrances that were intially used...

    so here i go...

    Believe it or not … This road is a track that is on the left from Taqha to Mirbat. The road leads to a short drive down a hill on an elevated dirt-trail. When you reach the base of the trail, you have to switch off your engine and put the gear into "neutral". Keep your foot on the brake lightly to "regulate" your speed when the anti-gravity feel kicks in..!!!! your vehicle instead of rolling down the slope begins to roll back UP hill
