Flex - Designing and Printing

    Hi everyone,

    I want to make a welcome board for my LO's birthday.
    It will be photos of my LO and some cartoon characters.
    What is a flex?
    Is it the same thing what I am talking about.
    I have found few places near my house who print flexes.

    What is the cost for something like this. Say on a A0 sheet.
    And if we give any design can they print it?
    or does it have to be any specific format.

    Anyone who know about flex can give me response.

    Though I am no expert on flexi.. couple of years back I accompanied a friend of mine to a flexi shop..flex was about 3ft tall with photo and they charged 4000/-
    Yes, you can give your own design.. and the quality of prints will be better if your images are digital... all the best

    The latest Innovation is the field of big size banner printing is Flex printing. the artwork will be printed on the PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) or PE (Polyethylene) sheet. we can either fix on the wall with double side adhesive tape or we can paste on form board and hang on wall.

    This needs artwork in Adobe Illustrator format ( ai. file ) so find the printer and describe your views, give the pic to them they will create the artwork. If they charge more to create the artwork pl. reach me i will help you. I will develop the artwork and send to you.

    If I am right you can find lot of flex printer near Anand Theater / Triplicane / Kodambakkam Bridge down lot of shops.

    Thanks for the detailed response.
    I want to create the artwork myself, as I am interested in trying this out.
    Can u please provide information on which tool is used to create adobe illustrator format images?
    Also, are u aware of the price for the flex printing for A0 size?

    Do you have Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop ? will you be able to create the artwork ?

    sorry I am not sure about the cost.

    I have photoshop and have created few smaller works before, that's why wanted to try out this one.
    Will photoshop be enough?

    I have started creating my art work using photoshop.
    It gives me option to save it as psd and JPEG.
    Which format should I save it as?
    I couldn't find Adobe Illustrator format anywhere.
    Please help.

    The previous creations I saved as JPEG and got prints in tshirts, mugs etc.
