    This is called Lapan work ...kutch wall art.. it is basically done with a combination of donkey dung and fine mud ...but can anyone suggest me a alternative way to do it on my exterior wall. help guys.....

    You can use paper pulp for this. White paper or mix some acrylic paint. Cement and sand mixture .

    Cement and sand mixture is strong enough to last longer. Houses are made from this mixture. Paper pulp, I think papier mache artists are using some type of sealant for their outside sculpture . I don't know what is available in your place. Search for the sealant in the net. Or use paper pulp as base then use cement and sand mixture as an outer layer. It is definitely a cheaper version with paper. You can get old news paper for free. For paper use carpenters glue. It is very strong.

    I have no suggestions Pooja, but I have to say that it looks beautiful. Hope you do find an alternate technique and when done, do post it here for us to appreciate.

    yes priya ...its indeed a beautiful art ...i am planning to design my inlaws house ...and the entrance is pretty boring ...i was googling for ideas and here ...i just fell in love with this art and i am ready to work any number of hours to do this ...and in the right way...
