2012 Golu & My Craft Contributions

Hello All, :hiya

Many of you would have gone through my last year craft contributions for golu

This year too i did try few crafts...

But first ,have a look at the Golu we had kept at our house this year

 

And Just like the previous year,this year too i made Kuttu vilakku amman and the border for Golu

 

Next comes the painting work on Stones...
special thanks to Riya Kathir for sharing this idea on her blog...
Initially i tried to make multicolour stones and made kolams on them but somehow dint like it..so repainted all to black and made kolams

you can see some stones without the kolams,those were painted by my DD

 

Next craft was Painting of the PLastic Tumblers and attaching the decorative flashy bulbs to it...this craft i liked a lot and special thanks to riyakarthir again for sharing this idea

 

Finally the Pookolam done by my FIL...he did pookolam almost all or alternative days but i couldnt take pictures :-(

and the last ganesha is something i tried to create with old plastic bottle(bournvita bottle) and mseal...i started to do for golu but never got the time to complete it... :bonk

Will complete and post it as my next creation...

thanks thanks akka...have a look atall the pictures
steps actually we made with iron rods/plates...specially made for golu
we ll fix it every year.,...like how you get in shops ,readymade steps,which we ll have to fix with nuts and bolts,we made one for us

kolams are with paints only akka ..usual fabric paint

thats my concept,i dont want to use these ready made stickers....
ambal's accessories are mine(you might have figured it out)...hehe but she is wearing them first :-D
