Craft Works : Creative Kitchen Utensil Holder

    Creative Kitchen Utensil Holder I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU YOUR COMMENTS PLS................................................

    What You'll Need



    <LI minmax_bound="true">Magazine pages <LI minmax_bound="true">1/4-inch dowel <LI minmax_bound="true">Glue stick <LI minmax_bound="true">Metal or cardboard can <LI minmax_bound="true">Wooden balls to fit the top of the rolled paper tubes (approximately 3/8 inch) <LI minmax_bound="true">Acrylic paints in desired colors <LI minmax_bound="true">Paintbrush <LI minmax_bound="true">Scissors <LI minmax_bound="true">Thick crafts glue <LI minmax_bound="true">Coated color wire


    METHOD
    1. Beginning at one corner of the magazine page, roll page diagonally around the dowel and glue the corner in place with glue stick. Remove dowel. Make enough tubes to go around the can.



    2. <LI style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; MARGIN-LEFT: -10px" minmax_bound="true">Paint the wood balls. You will need one ball for each paper tube. Let dry. <LI style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; MARGIN-LEFT: -10px" minmax_bound="true">Cut tubes to the same height as the container. Using craft glue adhere the tubes around the side of the can.
    3. Glue a ball to the top of each tube.
    4. Wrap the two bands of wire around the can and knot the ends together.

    Ani, Looks nice :) I kinda imagined it like that.

    Manjula, I guess the tubes serve just as a decoration, the weight will be held by the can inside. Maybe if you left wooden or plastic sticks inside the magazine tubes it could be even higher than the can and have no problem carrying the weight of any utensils... that's just an idea...

    Hi Ani,
    Your idea is good. 2 years back for vacation, i thought for school children with this same method , jewelery box. pen stand, letter holder etc. Your work is very neat. keep going.
