Your dhokla looks tempting. my daughter likes dhokla, my son and husband do not relish it...congrats on participating...and your first attempt itself looks good.

Dear Moonbeams
I had sent only one entry and that is Diamond curry. Happy to know that you liked it. I am waiting for good besan flour, I have very little stock at present becoz the person who sells the indian stuff is not having stock so waiting for him to get more besan. I am so eager to try but not able too. will let you know as soon as I will make it.

This is my recipes
Besan Modak (Spicy Curry)


Ingredients

2 tbsp spoon besan
3 Nos of onion
1 cup grated fresh coconut
2 tbsl spoon garam masala paowder
1 tea spoon red mirchi powder
1 teaspoon must red seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric power(Haldi)
Hing
For the filling:
3 Nos onion
1 cup grated fresh coconut
1 tea spoon red mirchi powder
2 tbsl spoon garam masala paowder
1 teaspoon turmeric power(Haldi)
Salt to test
Hing
Oil

Pl add to one tables spoon oil for hot in kadai add to mustard add to chopped the onion fry till light red in color Add to garam masala , red mirchi powder turmeric powder after add to salt
fry for 1/2 minute,

Let this mixture cool


For the outer cover

2 cups besan
1 cup water
salt for test

Pl prepare to dough all ingredients add. Press the ball with your finger to make a ditch into the ball. From inside the ditch press side-wise to make a small round vessel-kind thing out of the ball. Put 2 teaspoons of the filling in the small vessel-shaped dough. Merge all the sides of the vessel to make in the shape of a fresh fig. Take a colander spread little ghee in it. Place the modak in it.
Prepare to Curry


teat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the rai.
When they crackle add the garam masala powder , add to chopped onion fry for golden colour and salt. After add one glass water boil then afre add to modak server with coriander leaves
Note :- My mother in law recipes really mouth test

We are always prepare now left over idli(khiru)

pl add to idli khiru
same procedar for neesha recipes
ya yummy dhokla(khaman) prepare now

Dear all,
First of all i wuld like to congratulate all participants n ofcourse sply to the winners.ur entries r really tempting .
This was my entry to the contest for the first time i prepd ladoo n sent it to the contest.
Besan Ladoo
ingrediants reqd
1 cup fresh besan
1 tblspn roasted sooji(2 add coarseness)
1 cup sugar pwdr
2-3 tblspn ghee
handful of roasted cashews n almonds
1/2 tspn powdered cardamom
method
In a frying pan( preferably nonstick ) add 1-2 tblspn ghee n heat it.

Add besan 2 the ghee n start fring on low flame.while stirring continouly.

fry for around 20 min gradually adding the remaining ghee to the besan.

then add sugar powder n mix it thoroughly with the besan n switch off the flame.

add fried powdered cardamom,cashew n almonds n roasted sooji n again mix it properly.

then allow the mixture 2 cool n then shape the laddos

if the mixture is too dry to shape them ,add some milk to the
mixture so tht its easy to shape them.
