Post Prawn curry

Prawn curry

1 kg medium-sized prawns
2 to 3 big onions (sliced)
½ coconut (grated)
1 tbsp khus khus
2 tbsp mustard seeds
2 green chillies
1 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
2 tbsp mustard oil

Clean, de-vein and wash the prawns well under running water. Soak the prawns in water for an hour to eliminate the smell. Grind onions, grated coconut, khus khus, mustard seeds and green chillies to a smooth paste. Add salt and sugar to the ground paste and mix well.

Place the prawns in a pressure cooker. Pour mustard oil on the prawns and mix gently so that each prawn is well coated with oil. Add the ground paste to the prawns and cook for a whistle. Serve with steamed rice.
