"Popular Thread Contest" in the Forum of the Month

Dear All,

One thing we learnt from the IL Anniversary Contest is that most of our dear IL'ites love contests. So here you go with one more monthly contest coming your way .

Popular Thread Contest

The thread - within a specified sub-forum - that receives maximum replies will be chosen as the "popular thread". The starter of the popular thread will receive a special IL gift. Every month we will announce the forum of the month for this contest (see subsequent post for April Month forum). So, put your thinking cap on and start threads that compels people to respond.

Rules and Guidelines
1. Only threads within the specified sub-forum will be considered for this contest.
2. Participation should be to kick-off interesting discussions on topics related to the forum.
3. Full copy/paste from other websites will not qualify. However, you can quote a news or a blog entry or an article, but you should surround it with your personal commentary on it.
4. Don't think you should only be starting threads to win the contest. When you actively participate in others' threads, they are more likely to participate in yours and that increases your chance of winning! (When participating in other people's thread don't be an OLQ*)
5. You can promote your threads using your forum signature.
6. Starting threads on a topic similar to an existing thread do not qualify. Search if a thread already exists on the topic you have in mind and please revive it.

*OLQ (one line queen) - Those posting one-liners with the intention of increasing post count like...
Wow, that is great...thank you for the info...keep posting more...I like your post,etc.
