This incident occurred when I joined work way back in year 2004. As per the company policy, we need to undergo six weeks Product/Process training. On one such day in training, being April 1st...We a batch of 32 members were seriously attending the training. During the tea breaks, people did have a habit of checking personal mails/browse, which was a taboo in training rooms especially. Irrespective of the constant remainders from our trainer that the training room domain systems were under constant monitoring, most of them kept peeping in yahoo, cricinfo and other sites.

As the Trainer was out for more than the prescribed break time, I planned to play pranks with my batch mates, being 1st April. There was a facility called Net send in the PC's connected to a specific domain (local network).So I though of utilizing the same for my Prank. There were hardly 20 people in the room. I just walked across the room and glanced and took note of people who were checking mails/browsing. With the help of Net Send command, I typed the following "Your system was monitored and you were found browsing violating the company policy. Your IP was captured and you are terminated with immediate effect. Please contact HR for your exit formalities"

I randomly sent this to a few people. Once people got to see this message, they were taken aback. They were at their wits end. Those few of them sported a grim look and when I asked them, they showed me this message. I did not laugh, instead acted as if I felt sorry for them. Finally one guy went and confided the issue to our Trainer and even the trainer was surprised. He told us not to panic and he will check with the admin team. I kept up the secret till the end of the day. The next day when I called my friend (batch mate), who was also a victim of my prank, she cried on phone at the fear getting being fired from the company. The soft corner peeped in me and I disclosed my prank! She was furious, but laughed at the end. The entire batch got to know about this at office and all of them had a hearty laugh!! My trainer warned me though for being so naughty!

Fake Cake Prank..

This is the April Fool Prank I played on my neighbour friend 2 years back..But the memory still makes us giggle..
I am always in search of novel ideas to enjoy n fun with my friends..I decided to make a fake cake to enjoy..On the eve of April 1rst,I cut 4 square pieses of sponge, (like the dish washing type without the scrubber...)Ofcourse a new sponge, and washed it n dried. Then I soaked it with syrup and decorated it with cake frosting , grated Chocolate curls and candied cherries and kept in the fridge..Wow it looked like real black forest cake squares..It looked really tempting n no one could say it was a fake cake.( And I had to take extra care as I had to keep it hidden from my kids...) I was thinking whom to April fool with these really delicious looking Fake Black Forest cake...
The next day around 11 in the morning, my sweet friendly neighbour Knocked at our door.She said my hubby had called on her phone from his workplace and he had asked her to tell me to ring back immediately.( our phone was not working properly at that time,n I did not have a mobile too)..I said April fool...I said I knew it, she must b here to play a prank..but she insisted....n I too stood my ground..then she gave up...I invited her inside.Then our talks diverted to fashion ,dresses, recipes etc..She asked me what new recipes have I tried.(The fake cake flashed into my mind). I said I have baked n decorated black forest cake...And it has come out perfectly like a bakery one..She knew I often tried new recipes to perfection..I said she should taste n tell me how it is...I brought a big piece for her..(she was mad about chocolate cakes n could have a piece at any time of the day...)She took a big mouth full n tried to bite it.......She struggled to bite it.It was a great delight to see her doing it...I had butteflies in my stomach...( I am still smiling to myself at this moment) But I tried not to laugh when she did it.....Then she knew she was April Fooled...She said she did not have the slightest idea when she saw the cake..It looked so real..She was tempted to eat it at once....She too enjoyed the prank...And she took 2 pieces of the fake black forest cake with her,to play a prank on someone else...Actually she had come to play prank on me..but was fooled succesfully in return....A very good and friendly n helpful lady...We enjoy a laugh whenever this prank comes to our mind....Hope you too are giggling...
