Who is your Role Model? - Contest for International Women's Day 2006

Dear Vidya,

Hope I'm not too late in congratulating you.
I wanted to read your 3rd entry and then write so this delay.
I did read the first two entries and was kind of convinced you'd be the winner.
Its not just emerging as winner but you've introduced us to 3 great individuals who have lived their life to the fullest inspite of problems.
I must admit here that even I'd thought of writing about our Chitra as a role model; she is one amazing woman. You've done a wonderful job in portraying Chitra -
You have an amazing clarity in your writing, whether its a feedback of a recipe or sharing shlokas or budding in to support - I've always liked your style of writing, so precise & to the point & at the same time mild & soothing.

the story about Heibo touches me & reminds me of the movie, Constant Garderner wherein we are exposed to such people &situations..

You are so lucky to have a person like Ammami. All your entries spread such positivity about life, about women.
I look forward to reading more of your writing in future.

Thanks for the congrats. No, it is not too late, I am basking in all this support for my role models. So bring it on!!! I am glad you liked all three of them, they are actually quite identical when it comes to the basic values they hold in life.

Thanks for the congrats and good to have you back. I am glad you liked the essays- they were all easy to write since they wrote themselves. Ammami and Heibo have such sterling qualities that I just had to type and it all came out. Yes, it would be nice to write stories too.
