Thanks that another person is like me. It must have been a difficult decision to make. My son was very mad with me for my choice. my husband did not agree but kept quiet. I based on all my diificulties in life. It really is difficult to say if its right or wrong.

As others said, it was a short, straight forward, crisp answer.

Yes, there will be many who will not agree with your decision...me included...just because I think showing favoritism to a child based on the gender is wrong. I did not send an entry to this contest, but what I feel is that the decision should be based more on what the subject is that the child wants to study. If it is something that will be better for a child's career, then I would send that particular child abroad. Or even better would be to ask both of them to complete their graduation in India first and then apply abroad, ask for financial aid from their respective colleges and then supplement both with your own money. That way you help both the kids and don't show preference for one over the other.
