You are havin some fun for diwali then eh!! yayyy.. enjoy and plz do share on IL how it went!

I saw Chitvish mam's site yest, awesome it is - so many dishes and some really seem simple too, ofcrs preparation and eatin them means I will have to exercise a lot to let go of all accumulated fat :D

And if u hadn't mentioned that it was a hint on ur age, I wouldn't even have realized..hehe.. but na.. I jus gather that you have been in Melbourne from a fairly long time, that's it..

Hey Pratima
Thx for doing that (sending the info to Supriya). I guess some info is better than nothing. Just got an email from my friend and she said that this Sunday is the Diwali Mela at Sandringham racecourse. So have fun and enjoy. Lots of stalls apparantly but just be mindful. Some of them are very unreasonably rated. Many go for the craze of getting mehendi done on their hands! I am sure there will be lots of information available as well if we keep an eye. My friend is planning to go. And me ?? I need to do a major convincing act with my hubby. God knows if that will work.

And this is festive mood and don't worry about eating. If we don't eat sweets on Diwali then when else are we going to ?? There is a very good Indian shop in Preston called MKS. I think it is on High Street and off Bell Street. They have some fantastic sweets and savoury stuff. Also Shahnai Sweets on the same road is verrrry good for sweets. Very fresh items at both places and they sell very quickly. People line up to buy stuff from there. ........mmmmm.........now that is making me crave for sweets. Ok enough of this talk now. Catch ya later.

Ah cool.. guess what.. I have to sweet talk my hubby too!!! He'll jus say nah.. nthn interestin will happen and turn it down :D.. anyway thanks for the info as usual

Your info about sweets ... I feel like runnin to those places now, probably, i can run to those places, buy all sweets and walk back.. that way I can exercise too and have the sweets too ;).. nah jus kiddin, m definitely gonna be eatin many sweets now tht I know whr I can go buy them.. m a choc addict and the fridge is fulla bars of chocs and choc wafers and muffins.. so much so for a health conscious person ;).. I miss my childhood days, don rem a single day havin to worry bout weight, I only rem tryin to sneak and find a choc and secretly have it! Now - most days I count my cals and go for low fat/fat free foods even though I know they r hoax ;)

I have my learner's test tomo ;) tryin to study the slides through now and takin the practice tests, but its like col days, last min preparation, funny how such habits die hard :D

Apparantly a Diwali Mela at Fed Square as well on Sunday........mm...you better check and see before going.

Honestly low fat stuff that you get here is pretty good and reliable. I think they need to be sure else they can be taken to Consumer Court!...

Good luck with your Learner's written exam. I am sure you will be fine.

Heyy

Saw your post and could not wait to reply. Must have been lovely to go for the Great Ocean Drive...but wasn't it cold??? Melbourne Zoo is a very nice place to visit. Everyone enjoys it - children and adults. A nice tropical atmosphere inside isn't it?? Good you had a nice time.

Of course we did not go for the mela. I will try next time again .
Yeah kinda started preparing sweets, with whatever skills I have.
They seem edible for now and I am happy about that.
Till this Saturday I want them to stay alright. Once everyone
has had a bite, I don't care what happens to them

So when are you taking the actually driving test?
