Hi Viji,
I had to visit this forum to respond to your post :). Been very busy at work now a days.
I have to say there might be a lot of difference of the Rosary convent that you and I remember and the rosary convent of current times. Have you been to that place lately?? In 97 when I visited after a long gap of 10 years, I literally couldn't find my way to the school from either from Nizam College (the back roads that takes you thru the sister's quarters, book store etc) or from Grammer School. All the open areas have disappeared, A store which we used to call Green Store (operated by a family that lived on the top floor ) disappeared, the taylor shop that used to sew and sell school uniform disappeared. All the gardens surrounding the montessori section gave way to new construction and the class rooms are just a jump away from the main road, divided only by a wall.
I graduated from 10th grade in 79. Just a year prior to that, the headsister (Principal) retired and we had the first indian nun as the principal.
keep in touch,
blondie
