Hello Viji mami, Sai, Susri, Saroj and Vijaya,
Yes, the party was very well organised by my dear friend Sangeetha.
She had a theme "East, West, North and South". People from south should dress up like the other 3 and so I tried wearing a bandhani sari gujju style only couldn't keep it in place and changed it to the normal style and wore long earrings (unusual of me) and a matching necklace. These were in blue stones bought from my friend Sowmya another Ilite who sells jewellery here. Everyone commented that I look like a Gujju Ben only !!!!
She had made sev puri for starteres and a variety of dishes like coconut, vathalkuzhambu rice from south, Pav bahji from bombay and also kutchi pav baji which she calls as Kutchi Dhabeli and my god she had made all these. Of course from East - a bengali dish - misthudahi with cherry toppings and also a dhal makhani with plain rice and samosas.
She had organised 2 games - one was names of different dishes from all over India and you have to identify from which state/region/community and another was Icons that generally is used here.
Last she asked all of us to vote for the well dressed person lady/man and my husband won the first prize dressed like a Nepali (he had bought some outfits during our last holiday to Sikkim etc.).
Had a gr8 time altogether.
Just now making sambar baath for the night with snakegourd dahi raitha and have to fry some vadams.

Good morning Saroj, Sai, Viji mami, Susri, Vijaya and others,
Yesterday made so much sambar baath and my DH says that I have cooked for entire Bahrain. Quantity is too much and next 2 days have to eat only that. I can spend some time putting my feet up and relaxing.
Revaram, me and Monaam (all Ilites) met yesterday afternoon doing some craft shopping. Since reva and me met Monaam in the shop did not do much talking and we had to part soon.
Just eating my BF and looking forward to all of your news !!!!

How r u today? weekend was fun with friends of my daughter coming over for lunch. A bunch of 19s / 20s boys and girls my god what noise.... but it was wonderful.. they came over around 1230 and left by 3 or so..

Gov. have declared today is a holiday for schools n colleges here in Chennai due to heavy rain.

Yes.day went out for collecting vegeis..yap...muddy puddles.hate to get down from the car,picked up some from here and there.then we were off to beach.OMG!!!!!!!! .No crowd(some funky ones like us)Chill breeze...enjoyed a lot....
Had frankies(my DS and Niece..she will be hereonly till she finishes her degree, now doing engineering)

yesterday couldnt join you all in coffee morning.my DD wanted to meet her old school teachers,so i accompanied her yesterday.my DD 's friend and her mom also joined us.my DD almost started crying seeing her teachers and old friends.school life school life dhan..
we had our BF in her school canteen itself.from school we went to iranian club(opp to the school).there my DD and her friend did swimming .

i came back at 3.00 only for lunch.

had a wonderful time yesterday.
