my brother did his chemical engineering .His name is Devanathan.We lived in Tatabad.He finished in 1979.He was with quizzing.He used to play cricket.I wonder whether you knew him?

Thanks for the informations and of course by the time he joined CIT & I have already compleated my studies there, any way if he is from tatabad , may be i should have seen him as i was staying in tatabad 3rd & 7th street around that time. Is he still in Tatabad or gone abroad....

May be if he visits coimbatore I can meet him too...Now I reside in Rathnapuri near sivananda colony junction.

We lived in 3rd street Tatabad from 1970 to 1984.There was triangle corner house.

Then we must have seen each other, I was staying in Swarnambigai lay out opposite Ganga Hospital & later on in 3rd street Advocate Sethuramaiyer's house opposite to DMK ( Now MDMK )trade union office.

I used to come in Bullet Motorcycle....My Younger sister geeta was studing at Nirmala collage ( BA, MA at that time ) now she is working in ICICI in coimbatore.

Dear Mr. Subbu, Nice to see u in this thread. Since u r a CITian i would like to ask u if u knew Mr. Venkatesh who studied BTech there during your period. Later he went to IIT for his MTech and emerged as a Gold medalist and was working in PRICOL and later started his own industry by name Vetal Controls and became a great industrialist in Coimbatore. But unfortunately, he met with a sad end last year. He is a good family friend of ours.

Yes our dear sujathae,

I know him( Mr.Venkatesh ) and used to visit their office when my north indian textile mills clients wanted some items from vetal controls.

I too heard about that sad incident. Nothing is in our hands and we are the tools in the hands of Almighty who knows how to keep us and take us when he wants.

THANKS SUJA for your warm welcome. coimbatore is a beautiful and peaceful place to live. though i haven't lived there long, i miss it, we had been there last may, will be visiting again this october. our house is in kavundampalayam, where are you from? keep in touch. i really wud like to have friends there....... don't have any friends there in coimbatore right now so i wud be glad to make them.

Dear Girija, I was born and brought up in coimbatore and married to chennai. Presently we live in Kuwait. we visit India every July-Aug. We have a flat in L& T apts peelamedu. My parents are also in Peelamedu behind anna nagar. All our relatives are in coimbatore and most of my friends too. I worked in United India Insurance co. for about 10 years. So i know in and out of coimbatore and it is my favorite destination.
