Maternity hospitals in Coimbatore

Hi All, I will be coming over to Coimbatore for my delivery. Iam planning to consult Dr Vani Mohan at KG hospital for my delivery. Has any of you had experiences with her? I am keen on having a normal delivery and would like to know if she is supportive? Also, any idea how much it wud cost for delivery.

Please let me know if you have good experiences with any other gynae/hospital. I've heard good comments about Kongu Nadu hospital but feel it may be far away for me (I stay in Ramanathapuram). Thankyou!

Congrats and wishes for a safe delivery!!
I have heard of Dr.vani Mohan but do not have any personal experience with her. I had my delivery at Ramakrishna Hospital by Dr.Lalitha. She is really good.
You can also try GKNM.

Hi...

Vani Mohan is Good and Experienced Doctor . I am also going to her for monthly checkup.

She is going to KG,Kongu and ramakrishna hospital in coimbatore.

and one of my friend also have gone to her and joined in KG for delivery.She had a CS so the cost came upto 75000..itseems.

DrChandrakala is doing good work in KG Hospital, and doing painless normal delivery with help of Anesthetist.

Whoa!! 75K for c-section

.... Didnt know that cost of living has gone up so much in India.. I think its time to feel the pinch during my long term visit this time..

Iam also planning to go to KG for regular check-ups as it is nearer for me. The other places are far off. I heard that generally in such big hospitals the waiting time to meet the doc is pathetic. Any feedback on waiting time to meet Dr Vani in KG? Do you have your check-ups also at KG?

I had both my ceaserians with Dr.Asha Rao in R.S.Puram.She was an extremely kind and gentle gyneac..She tried her best for Normal by waiting but my daughter was 3.9 kgs and really big baby..She has a nursing home which is a small one and the sisters there were very homely....

Looks like there are quite a number of ob gynaes in Coimbatore who are really good.. I'm feeling confident now.. Even if some place doesnt work out well, there seems to be alternatives..
