Have u visited Pollachi

Hi,
Having read so much abt Pollachi,i'm lovestruck with the place & planning to visit soon.People who have been there before,can u pls guide me with a good hotel to stay and stuff that shud be kept in mind while being there...

i had visisted pollachi many times..... i used 2 spend my summer vaccation in my relative house.........

the climate will be nice during d month from march to june......... pollachi is mostly famous for its coconuts.........

apart from dat 8yard sarees are very famous......... v used 2 buy for my grand ma..........

sight seeing places.....

valparai.... from pollachi it is around 60km........

u have 2 check in at pollachi......... no lodgings at valparai.......
if possible pack lunch from pollachi..........

valparai u can see balaji temple.....it is widely famous......... d climate is awesome.........

other than dat nothing is there..........

topslip......... u should get there by 2-3 p.m ...... so dat u can watch animals ........

in pollachi jack fruit is famous........ u can get it cheap there.........

some temples are there r to visit..........

Really it is very nice place. I have visited few times. I thing u ll get lot of hotels at pollachi.

While there are servicable hotels in Pollachi, i'd recommend staying in Coimbatore and making the trip to Topslip, as the hotels in Coimbatore are far better.
If, however it has to be pollachi, try the following:

Pollachi is mainly famous for the weekend markets and of course, for tender coconut. You can visit monkey falls and the aaliyar dam apart from what others have specified. And thirumoorthi malai is another famous spot.. I remember my family had a tasty meal there which we cooked ourselves. The route from pollachi to topslip is very attractive with one side completely covered by the paddy fields and the other side with coconut farms.. Thats one fabulous site which i enjoy every time...Wherever you turn, you l find greenery.. Such an awesome place...
