    sudha,

There are lot of residential schools in ooty. you have not mentioned whether it is for a boy or girl.

I would recommend hebron school, which used to be called Breeks memorial boarding school before.

There is lovedale, good shepherd, If it is a girl, try the residential school at kotagiri instead, have heard it is good.

    Hi Bose,
You can try St.Josephs Boys H.S.S - Coonoor which is Anglo Indian syllabus.
Ladlaw memorial H.S Ooty same Anglo Indian.
Stanes High school - Coonoor - Anglo Indian Syllabus.

    sudha,

I am not sure about the sachidananda school only cbeites should throw a light on that.

Of the list that celebrate has gives, I have been to stanes, and like the school have heard joseph is also good.

I could talk about ooty schools because we were in coonoor for a year. and also one of our friends children had been to stanes, and another to kotagiri public school..both have done well.

But a word of caution, do you have somebody in nearby cbe, metupalayam to keep watch on your kid on a weekly/monthly basis. since 8th/9th/10th are sensitive periods whether it is a boy or a girl. my dd is in 8th.

You could also look at sainik school amravathi nagar, known for its discipline. you have to write a entrance for the school..

    Hi there,

For co-ed institutions, hands down for me the choice would be the Lawrence School in Lovedale, near Ooty. They are CBSE.

I know there are other ones in Ooty, like Hebron and Good Shepherd I think? that are also good.

For a girls school, St. Hilda's is supposed to be very good.
