How to tie kucchu - mundani threads for Silk Sarees?

If you are still looking for tips as to how to tie knots on silk threads at the end of the pallu in silk sarees.. please follow the below steps.
1. Using a needle ir safety pin, pull out horizontal threads in the pallu.. to have lose threads hanging from the tread for atleast 1.5 to 2 inches (ur preference).
2. Take a bowl of water and keep it aside.
3. Make the pallu lie flat. (like pallu at the edge of bed or table etc... laid out like ready to iron)
3. Wet your fingers
4. Starting from one corner, hold threads hanging from around an inch wide area, twist/ role with wet fingers so they hold together, and make a knot.
5. Repeat the same till the next end.

It is a simple procedure. Just needs some patience. Good luck :thumbsup

I got a silk saree and the tassel thread were very short that I couldn't tie the knot. So, I got some crimp covers(3MM) and crimp plier from craft store. Instead of tying the knot, I placed the crimp cover and plied it. It gave a nice and rich bead like finish.
