Hi I want to create a dual fabric saree and blouse with a maroon georgette and a maroon and green floral synthetic silk. would any one tell me how to create it with good boarder and kundans/mirrors/embroidery/ any other thing. please give me clear instructions as this is my first attempt. Thanks in advance Sandhya
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I liked the third one. I have some other designs also in mind. Certainly these designs are different.
Hi sandhya, If you are looking for a half and half saree then you should take 2.5 mtrs material for the pallu side and 3 mtrs for the next half and you get the border designs suitable for the saree colours you have choosen..Borders are available in 9-10 mtrs, which you can give to a tailor to attach the two pieces and attach the border. check these designs...
These sarees look very very simple and beautiful!!! I got two inexpensive sarees- one is with print and other is plain- of the same colour. I wanted to get a designer saree. After I received the pictures of Yashikushi's designs, I went to a boutique owner and asked her to make a designer saree from the fabric. Her charges were very high- more than 7 times the cost of sarees. I felt it was a worthless effort and dropped the idea. But these pictures revived my enthusiasm. This time I make it myself, as these designs are simple and workable to me. Thank you Sapna.
Hi Can someone explain me how to join two pieces of sarees. IS it a basic running stitch that is used ? Please breif. Even i am trying to join two sarees to make a single designer.
