Question Getting rid of Cockroaches in Kitchen

Hi ,
I have a lot of pests( mainly cockroaches ) in my kitchen .
Since I have a toddler at home . I can't use those heavy sprays like HIT etc...
Its a modular kitchen , no matter how I try to maintain , they are always there.
There are big cockroaches as well as tiny ones. :icon_frown:
Is there any other method to keep the cockroaches away .

Hey Aniyaa,
Cocroaches are big trouble in Bangalore i guess :icon_frown: . You can probably use the "Crazy Lines" that you can get from any shop. This is a white pencil kind of thing. May be you already know about them !

Aniyaa,

You can try "Good Bye Roaches". I don't know whether you'll get it in India. If u can, it's very very effective and safe also. This is a gel like thing, u can put 2 or three drops here and there and these cockroacheds will vanish. Try this.

Otherwise mix boric powder with atta and equal amount of sugar, make a paste and put it here and there. If you are using this method, make it sure that its not in the reach of children

Thumbs down Re: Getting rid of Cockroaches in Kitchen

Hi ,
Thanks a lot for all your replies.
This is my first post in indus ladies and its feels really good to get replies to queries..
I have the laxman rekha at home , I got it long back . Used it once and then stopped. Because when I was drawing the chalk , the lines weren't coming on the ground ..dont' know why ?..
Anyway , will take out the chalk again today and start drawing again.

Dear Aniyaa,
The permanent cure to get rid of cockroaches is to call pest control people they will come and spray some pesticides, before that and after that u will have lot of work like cleaning the house and before spraying pesticide also u have to cover all food items etc etc.... The instruction will be given by pest control people. It will be 2 to 3 days work(most probably some more days also) ,but on the pest control day u have to keep ur child some where outside to friends or relatives house, but belive me it is really a permanent cure.
One more thing I want to say in kitchen shelfs dont spread newspapers before placing bottles bcoz in the sides or folds of the newspaper these cockroaches lay eggs.
hope this will help u.

Default Cockroach Repellent

Hi Anniya,

I am giving the Cockroach repellent here, which I had already given in the tips section.

Try this. I am using this method for a long time and hence my kitchen is clean, without cockroach.

Cockroach Repellent

Note: While preparing this please wear a glove since it is toxic.

Take 100 Gms. of Boric Powder, 2 table spoons of Wheat Flour or Patient flour and 2 table spoons of sugar.

Put them all in a bowl.

Mix well and sprinkle water occasionally.

Prepare it like a tough dough and make small balls out of it.

Put the balls in all rooms at a time.

Keep out of the reach of children .

Wink Re: Getting rid of Cockroaches in Kitchen

You should use Wheat flour, Boric Acid Powder, Egg yolk and boiled potato and make into a dough. Make small balls and put it in all the places infested by cockroaches. Be careful if you have small children, it should not be eaten.

All your cockroaches will run away..........
