Hi Nittu, Even i have the same prob. But its reduced now.

Weekly once, (i do it on saturdays) take the chalk (the one which kills coakroaches) and draw lines near the sink and circles at the corners.

Next morning they are dead. dont forget to wipe the place with a separate cloth and clean the place with dettol.

Every week you can do this. this will reduce the no of coakroaches.

Just try this. It worked for me.

Nittu,

Though roaches can live without food for days, they cannot live without water.Make sure that there are no leaks in your water pipes.

Usually they are seen around places where there is a water leak though associated with filth.

Make your kitchen worktops , sink etc as dry as possible in the night before switching off the lights.

As you said ,the mutated varierty of roaches you are seeing nowadays have developed resistance to conventional insecticides.

Nittu:
If you are in USA, go to the drugstore or Walmart and get the roach hotels. It is bait stations in a plastic container. The roach goes in there, eats, goes home, dies, the other roaches eat the dead guy, they get killed, etc. These are good. YOu can also get a kind where there is a second kind of station that is birth control that you use in conjunction with the first type. The roach hotels are in a cardboard box so you know what to look for.

Hi friends i tried the baits too,it didn't work.
I watched the roaches coming out from cracks in the wood. I trying to dry out the surfaces as much as possible..as u have all suggested.
Please let me know when u get any other ideas.
Thank you friends!

If you are in a big city like NYC, its famous that you can kill your own roaches and have the ones from downstairs or next door repopulate your place. If you are living in a place with landlord, perhaps neighbors need to get fumigated in order to not reinfect your place.

TRY THIS:
Boroic powder 1 spoon
Maida 1 spoon
sugar 1.5 spoon
milk to mix
take all the ingredients adn mix to soft dough with milk. Make small ball and stick to the nook and corner where cockroaches reside. Day by day their population will decerease. This is the method which I follow for every 6 months.
Boroic powder will be available in supermarkets.
