| I feel bad for you. Did you dryclean it in US or India. Ask the dry cleaners if they can redo it without any starch. Hope it will be resolved soon. |

| Hi Ladies: I have a problem- the naphthalene balls melted in my saree and appears to have bleached the colour. I am scared to check applying a drop of water if it's a stain or the colour's bleached completely. I dont think I have a choice but to wait until I get to India. Any ideas/ suggestions? Prb. |

It is tooooooo bad to put napathalene balls for pattu saree. Yes it will bleach the colour and you can see a oily strain in saree. It is too hard to remove that. My friend's DIL had the same problem and she tried many ways but no use. Sorry I am not discouraging you. but itis a fact. You can try these methods, I suggested the same to them. Just put the saree in hall under fan or any airy area and allow it to evoprate. Or keep one tissue paper on that area and again put one more cloth on that and Iron the area. Some times the heat will evoprate the oil and the tissue will observe that. Try and give me feedback all the best. |

| Hi Krishanaamma: It looks like a powdery patch and not oily- It's a peacock colour saree with a designer border in maroon - I feel terrible for being careless. Let me try what you have suggested- I'll get back to you with the feedback. Thanks for the same. Cheers, Prb. Quote:
