Organic alternatives for pest control

Many of us want to avoid chemicals.Here are some organic alternatives for pests.
Flies
1.Wipe tabletops,countertops with damp cloth dipped in salt solution.
2String up lime and green chillies on windows and doors.
3.Grow tulasi and pudina .place planters on kitchen counters.
4.Sprinkle detergent in garbage cans.
5.Fix netting.Use covered garbaged cans.
Rats
1.Place rat traps near kitchen .Use nuts,chocolates and fish as bait.
2.Seal gaps in pipes and drains.Use rubber door seals.Do not leave uncovered food and dinner plates on the counter top.
Ants
1.Use vinegar diluted with water to mop surfaces.
2.Draw chalk lines .Ants avoid chalk lines.
3.Pour lime juice into cracks .
4.Keep sweetmeats in airtight containers.
Mosquitos
1.Keep camphor soaked in lukewarm water in dark open containers.
2.A blue low voltage tubelight will keep mosquitos away.
3.Fix netting.Eliminate stagnant water in and around the house.Empty coolers and water tankers.
Cockroaches
1.Sprinkle powdered sugar and baking soda in equal parts in and around drains.
2.Prepare dough of boric powder sugar and atta .Stick in cupboards and shelves.
3.Keep drains and sinks clean and dry.
Lizards
1.Egg shells on window sills will keep them away.
2.Draw a chalk line at all entry points.
3.Cotton wool smeared with toothpaste and kept at important points.
