Hello honeyj

I will tell you how I wash silver items as everyone has they own method of washing
I wet the silver items and take a toothpaste(not the gel one) and apply little bit like liquid soap on the items and leave it for 5 minutes and wash it, if it has become too black then with a scrubber will scrub it little and remove the dark stains and wash it.
That's all I do........
But in the shops you get silver polish and all which you can wash them with that

Hai shravanthika,

I think ur in US. But i don't know whether u get Pitambari Powder in US. IF u get it u can rub it over the utensil and then dust the powder. That's it........u can even rub copper utensils also.........

try it out.

I clean my silver items using laundry detergent - Tide. They come out like new and shinning.

Hi,

The hot water foil method does work but please folks be careful. It can ruin your silver.First off you can not clean silver with bi-carbonate or mix sodium carbonate {soda crystals} with aluminium.. keep doing this and you will die 'literly' its very dangerous.. i see many tips for cleaning silver with household products. such as aluminum foil and soda crystals? yes it will work a little!! and will take years off your life!!! buy a bag of soda crystals and read the instructions. DO NOT USE WITH ALUMINIUM.

The best fastest creme is Wrights silver polish and it not only cleans but protects your silver also.

Cheers,
Sireesha
