| Hi, Usually I wash the silver items with a no scratch scrubber and diluted dish liquid. After that, I wipe it well with a white cotton cloth. Then with the same damp cloth..I smear and apply dry vibuthi ( holy ash) on the silver articles..this makes it shiny and sparkle..good as new. Cheers Krithika |

| I recently found out a very easy was of getting rid of the blackness on silver items.i take a paper towel and put a little 'vibuthi' on it and rub it on the silver.it removes all the blackness with little rubbing.

| hi all, i too apply only vibuthi after i wash with the normal dish waSHING soap and with a good scrubber. it makes the silver items sparkle. also constant use of it say once in a week lessens our strain of clearing the stain. once if the stain accumulates there rises the problem. try it...
