I remove the roots and keep it in a tupperware in the fridge and not the freezer. And, ofcourse, kitchen tissue canalso be used to cover the coriander leaves because it absorbs the excess moisture and keep the leaf fresh. But once, it is wet, you should change it.

In the same way, spinach and greens (keerai) can be wrapped in a newspaper and then in a plastic bag and kept in the fridge.

Also tell me how to store leafy vegetables...
Hi mals,
I use to keep coriander leaves, 'Parapu keerai' etc., in the freezer only. I use to put them in the boxes in which we get straw berry, the hole one, and close with the lid. That is all we can them keep for months. Next time let me put the photo of those leaves.

Hi all,

As someone suggested i hav wrapped the coriander leaves in alumnium foil. I cut off the root portion pat dried with tissue and wrapped it.

But should i cover it fully or shud i leave a small opening for free air circulation?
