Default Bananas getting spoiled!

I am living in chennai. I use to buy bananas and after two or three days, I can see it gets spoiled and its skin becoming black. I guess this happens because of the extreme hot over here. Can we avoid this problem? Suggestions please……

Keep the bananas in refrigerator the very day you buy it. Even in fridge the skin becomes dark, if you keep it as such. Instead wrap it in a newspaper and then keep it in refrigerator.
Your bananas will remain fresh for any number of days.

Default spoilt bananas...

Hi Anasuya,

Have u seen shopkeepers hang the bananas instead of keeping it lying on the table or any surface. The reason is if u hang bananas it stays fresh for long.

There are a lot of fruit bowls with a hanger available nowadays- where u can hang bananas and keep other fruits on the bowl.

Hope this helps.

Meena
