Dear Sri mama,

Sorry for my long absence in Gita post as could not give an Fb but was reading all your posts.

Unga post padicha apparum, I remember this quote....... avan indri naan illiay, naan andri avaan illai. Not sure whether it is correct here but somehow remembered it. Everything is unto him only.

Quote:
The Pariseshana Mantra has a deep significance. The concluding line in the Pariseshana Mantra “Om Brahmani ma Atma-Amrtatvaya” means, "May my self be united in Brahman (the Supreme), so that I may attain
immortality."

This meaning was real beautiful. We used to chant Brahma arpanam brahma havir........ before having our food.

Mama, when we all know that we are all puppets in HER hands and she is playing a game, still we go on ranting when a calamity strikes us. We do not accept it with serenity that everything happens for the good.

Here I need to quote an incident from my life, please bear with me....
As you are aware we were in Port Blair, we had the habit of visitng smaller islands during our holidays. And we had planned to go to one during Dec, 2004. But before the holidays began, my husband met with a terrible accident. Luckily, SHE was there to help him. The helmet he wore was broken into two but no head injuries. He had a fractured and dislocated thumb which was plastered twice due to lack of good medical facilities there. My husband went on complaining why this had happened to him. Though I used to tell him something grave was supposed to happen and we have only the part of it. Be thankful to HER but these things went invain and he was depressed. Due to his accident we cancelled our trip. When tsunami struck on 26th Dec and wrecked havoc, the island we had planned to go was also washed out for 12 kms.........This we came to know only after few days and lot of people had lost their lives and the surviving had a very tough time in coming back to Port Blair. Just imagine if we had gone there, one thing we also would have been washed away or with small kids it would have been practically very difficul to come back. I was shocked to hear this news and literally my eyes were full, I sent a prayer of thanks to HER.

This one incident changed my whole outlook of life and trying my best to accept things AS IT COMES.

Dear Lalitha,
Please do not think, you owe us an explanation if you do not find time to send us FBs. We want you to read & internalise to the extent possible. Period.
Why do you bother, how and why you are branded? You are ultimatey answerable only to your own conscience. Thinking of the Lord for a few secs and thanking him for all the blessings is more important than spending hours as well as money on elaborate puja, but al the time preoccupied with all material things other than the Lord.
Your reasoning is perfect - people around you have every right to talk what they think is right. Do not allow that to bother you at all. You must have the conviction that you are doing the right thing, the way it suits you.
Love,
Chithra.

Dear LS
That accident saved your family from a great calamity. When the accident happened to your husband, it was likely that you rued your fate. But when you heard of the disaster caused by tsunami, the same accident appeared like a blessing in disguise.
This happens because we are too close to whatever happens to us and it clouds our vision. But as you go further up in your perspective, you are able to find a connecting link to all that happens to you and those around you.
It is for getting that vision and perspective, it is essential that we deliberate on scriptures from time to time.

Dear Mrs.Chith,
Literally, I was thinking that if a yajna is performed ( the action, in this sense) we do get to see the results..now only through this stanza came to know the 'real' meaning of yajna..and also for 'apurva'.(which is invisible)..the intensity of mind...shall we call it as 'faith'...which yields the desired results..

If all actions is based on 'Krishnaarpanam' then you can see heaven on earth...

Cheeniya Sir,
The quotations here are very apt...which has its equal counter-parts ( in our language) which refers to 'Soothradhaari' and 'Avan anri oru anuvum asaiyaadhu'..quotations, which we often hear...but we don't remember it always..while performing our actions...
Human life is a crisis for the soul....a very powerful statement..
So let us make use of this very life to an extent that it will help, the Wheel of Cosmos' move smoothly..
