hello there!

i need to take my dad to apollo chennai for checkup. i need to know the detailed way(transport) to get there, both the apollo teynampet and the greams road one. also help me out to get some accomodation over there(for both places) as the checkup may take some time. plz give the phone no etc. of the place of accomodation.plz help me out soon as the case is very urgent. plz notify the time gap between the two places.

Hi Khushman,
From central station, take an auto to Greams road. They will go via the Poonthamalli high road, then they will take the bridge to Egmore, then the Panthenon road and then reach Greams road I suppose…
If its to the teynampet Apollo, then the auto driver will tke the Mount road, cross LIC, Spencers, climb over the Anna Flyover, reach teynampet signal and then after cenotaph road the hospital is on your left. There are no direct busses to the Greams road hospital so you are better off taking a call taxi / auto. Call taxis are much better then auto.The number for Fasttrack call taxi is 044-24732020 (in case you need it).
There are some apartments behind the Greams road hospital where I have seen patients staying..there are also some lodges near by..but not sure about the quality/ rate. Will try to get some phone numbers if possible. Since there are lot of patients visiting Apollo Chennai from WB and Orissa please post your queries there too..you may get the hotel details from people already been here.
The time gap between the two places by auto / call taxi would be roughly 30-45 mins depending upon the traffic conditions and the time you are travelling.
