June is ending- still scorching hot!!!

Hi,

A month has passedby after KATHRI season and the mercury is still above 40 deg.

Coupled with horrible power cuts, transformer bursts low voltags etc.

How are u all managing Chennai life?

I do not live in Chennai or in South India but wherever I live, it is so hot !

The situation is very worst here!!!

Lets hope for the best. That's the least we can do.... Already June over.Lets wait and see what happens in July!!!

Living in Chennai is like living in a desert.

Only savior is the A.c-a necessity no more a luxury...

All our savings go away as power bills

Lucky are those who work in a/c offices - neednt worry abt bills...

Lets hope for rains

The heat is killing!!! cannot bear .
Only thing to escape from this heat is put on the A.C and sit. finish cooking before 10am. and sit in the A.C. doing IL

Its horrible. Here in our area no power, no water. Real Naragam. I am
praying God for heavy rain only. Let us hope for the best.

Me too doing the same...

Cook dishes that need my minimum exposure to heat...

Use mw as much as possible

drink lots of buttermilk

sit right under tha Ac and soak in IL...

go mad when power fails and call EB endlessly

Delo I really feel bad for u

Lets all hope and pray for some showers...

Where are u from?

Evrn my area(velachery) is plagued with power problems and the EB staff are so rude and lethargic.

Chennaites,

It is still scorching, but as i write this, I am having a little rain in our place. which maybe enought to wet the too dried up earth.

Powercut voltages are horrible. ground water table is very very bad in south chennai.

How do i manage, drinking lots of water, doing all my work (even outside ones) in the morning sessions, always keeping the torches, lights, batteries charged.,and finishing dinner by 7.30/8.00..
