hire car for a day

Hi
I am coming to chennai on 17th of this month, i would like to hire a car for a day, can anyone tell me the rates of it or any proper agent who would do this for me.
i would also like to know about the call taxi, how good are they and whether they do a trip to mahabs too.

Hi,Recently my dad took car for day in chennai. They usually operate in block of 6 hours which is Rs 500 or if u take for whole day it's about Rs 1000. All call taxies are only within Chennai city.
Other private taxies will come to any place but the will charge you Rs.5.50 to Rs.8.50 per KM.

Can I also ask one more thing. Iam coming from Uk and I have a big Parcel which weighs about 56kg , I will have to clear it and send it to coimbatore, can you please suggest any delivery services
who could either do from the cargo or from somewhere where we can drop the parcel
