Hello all, can we bake terracotta clay without oven. Please share the tips and tricks for the same. Also do we need to warnish terracotta jewellery? Please advise.
Hi, You can bake teracotta clay with Saw dust! Put some saw dust (you can get it from Saw mill) in a iron bucket or iron vessel. And put the designs on saw dust and put some more saw dusts on it. And put "Karpooram or Karpooram Powder" on it and matches it. it will start burn, you just add more saw dusts the designs will came to black completely. and let it cool for few hours. (Dont touch it through fingers for few hours) You get get varnish and colors in Anandha Stores, Chennai. or Naarilok get them and put on them and allow it for dry! Thats it! No need to buy Oven for this!
