An update for you regarding that girl. She is applying in SNDB(because she is sure she will get there), Ethiraj and Meenakshi. I've tried telling her about MOP but she feels intimidated by that college. She says the students there are very different(she is from a very poor family) and that she is not very fluent in English. She feels she will not be comfortable there and so I do not want to force her to apply. Lets see what happens. I will keep you updated.

An update aboutthe girl's 12th marks - She got 90%. She scored 196 in Business maths and Commerce, 183 in accountancy, 188 in Accountancy, 175 in Tamil and 143 in English. She was disappointed by her marks in English, though. We are hoping that she will get B.Com in Meenakshi or Ethiraj...........hoping for the best.

This is for your information. The girl I was talking about in this thread has got admission in SDNB Vaishnav college in Chromepet. She is happy with it. She didn't have enough marks for the cutoffs of Meenakshi and Ethiraj!! Anyway all is well that ends well. Thank you all for your suggestions and support.

Good to know that she got good marks and also admission. the cut off for B.COM is almost 95%. and is also is great demand these days. Ask her to try to enrol into ACS/ACWA/ACA simulataneously. Since she is studious, she can do it and also these days you can complete inter by the time you graduate.

SDNB is a wonderful place too. It is a college that is slowly spreading its wings. As Shanvy suggested, she can enroll for ICWA./ CA/ ACS. Also, if she wants to study management, she can enroll for coaching in IMS/TIME.
