about the dress code, language, games - to tell our IL's before itself is good, so that v all can follow the same.......and how long v will be staying their any idea...........

It is obvious, that some of might CRY (i think i am in the list.........) that is the reason y i won't go to any orphanages instead will call them to collect the things from my place........because i can't control myself (some times) so i rarely visit these places..........

I was away for 2 days and my God! So many posts! Hats off to all you folks! Dear Lata, so nice of you to invite all of us! I am glad to see I'm in the list. Looking forward to the meet. I don't know what to bring.........any ideas?

By the way, I will be coming by train to Tambaram. I know Shanvy, Meena and Honeytha are some of the folks in and around Madippakkam. If you all will also come by train, can we meet someplace and travel together? Please do let me know.

The adyar group will take a train and alight at Tambaram station. Can we meet someplace?

I am out of town for this week end and shall respond back on Monday.

Lata - I can organise some games for the children and also get some gifts for the same.

I have a budget of 2000 rupees( 1000 each from my side and my sister).. do you think I should order rice/dal for the entire amount or can i split it ?

nowords to appreciate you! You really think of all things. I too was thinking about going in a simple dress etc. lets be subtle so that we won't hurt the feelings of the little ones or make them feel selfpity. Already they would be sensing many things.
crying part, no body can guarantee that, whomsoever has even a little humanity in them would cry.
About children, please bring children if you fee that they should know the bitter side of the world and they would cope up. Some children may react differently and that may cause problems for that child and parents. So decide for yourself.
But I feel that we should let them experience such things- you can motivate them to come up well in life so that we could help such people. Also they will get the habit of sharing things.
And try not to show much pity, that may also hurt those children.
Booma, good of you to help them. Why don't you split your contribution into groceries and little gifts for the children? Get some details of what they would need from the HOME or from Lata or Rajmiarun. Grocery would be sponsered by many but getting them small things which they would love is a good idea. You can plan the games also, something different too.

1) Are we going as three groups to three different orphanages? Or as one full group to one orphanage?

2) If going to different places, please indicate which will be near Mylapore?

I will come to the one near Mylapore since I will be there. Simple cotton saree is okay, right?

welcome back.........v will discuss about our travel to tambaram.......i spoke to shanthi..........as v have luggage v don't know how far it will be possible to go by train...........so far no concrete program for travel........v will decide by next week beginning........so no problem.............

I will be going from Mylapore too, if you can PM
your contact number, maybe a few of us can go together. We are going to the Good Life Centre orphanage but as three groups from various parts of Chennai to meet near Vasantha Bhavan, Tambaram. Iam planning on wearing a cotton salwar.
