IL turns 3 on March 29, Let's meet???

Hi Dear Illites
IL the forum so close to our hearts is turning 3 on March 29. Should we not party ???
This idea was put forth by Varloo, Laxmi Thanks to you both. It 's an occasion to meet each other and spend time together. Not only for IL's in Chennai but also those who are visiting Chennai and why would hey want to miss the bash?? You are more than welcome.
Laxmi has suggested that wet can meet at a coffee shop.
Ideas, suggestions about the place we could meet and the time are welcome.
Come on Folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pour in your ideas.

Wonderful idea. February went off without a meet. March 29 is fine. Meeting at a coffee shop is also good. I hope number of people attend it this time. Lets keep our fingers crossed for this meet to be a successful one with a lot of Ilites meeting to exchange ideas.

thanks for the enthu you are showing, I am excited about it. We could even get a write up printed about it in the Metro of Hindu as they have already given info about IL.
I have another idea too. We could have meet at two different areas of Chennai so that many people can attend. Otherwise, many may find it difficult to reach a place far away from them. And 29th being a Sunday, I hope members who are working will also find it easy - we wold get to meet them also.
Janani, is it possible to send PMs to all the Chennai members regarding this? I shall send PM to members whom I know.
Come on girls, we need more ideas and more members to participate!

Its very nice to hear ...i will surely join if i really dont have any unavoidable programme.........like my father's monthly rituals........otherwise iam coming for sure.......

And, i would like to give u another idea to celebrate............hope u people dont mind for this...........this is jus my suggestion............

WE all had gala times in all other meetings too and also through our posts.........y not we do something GOOD/GREAT to celebrate our IL ANNIVERSARY............like

CELEBRATING IT IN AN ORPHANGE HOME WITH THOSE POOR KIDS...........

Let us choose an orphange home( even i have one in tbm where i went for my son's brithday...if u people accept we can even go there or as per ur choice) and let's all plan and meet in one placwe and go together............whoever wants to join let them come.......

Insted of us having lunch somewhere out.....let us spend those money for that kids.........like even they can bring FROM HOME............ANYTHING

see all these items need not be new one...we will be having plenty of unused items in our house na like snacks box of our kids, stainless steel tiffin boxes, old clothes......etc etc.jus bring that.......and if u want to get something NEW AND IF U R REALLY AFFORDABLE.........very nice of u and its upto u......

LIKE WHATEVER U FEEL LIKE BRINGING...SOAME USEFUL ITEMS...........OR U CAN EVEN PAY AS CASH.......OR CHEQUE.......EVEFN SMALL AMOUNT IS ACCEPTABLE.........NO COMPULSION

Let us play with THEM, SING FOR THEM , TELL THEM STORIES..........etc etc...........

Friends..............this is jus a suggestion.............pls dont mistake me....i dont mind celebrating in coffee shop or anywhere...........i will surely join for that also

( actually i already discussed this with shanthi......but she said, all may busy with kids exams and all so let us paln after sometime.........)

It is a nice idea. 29th is a saturday. I think coffee shop is an nice idea, but will il's feel comfortable talking to all..you will tend to split into groups..have seen this happening in gettogethers. Since it is hot, we can't think of open spaces also.

maybe your second idea could be viable..
first the tentative number of people coming. then if somebody is willing to host we can group according to access for each person. So let us find how many are coming in....

then i think there are few who can host upto 15ils..which will be a good number with a potluck should work out better...
