IL turns 3 on March 29, Let's meet???

Dear friends
Coffee shop and orphanage are good ideas. But where? All our members r scattered all over chennai. I don't think it is possible for all the members to meet in a place. We can form groups according to the areas/locations. so that there wont be much crowd and we have time to chat and spend time with everybody without confusion.

Why don't we all carry goodies whatever we can biscuts, ladoos, sweets, as many as we can and distribuite it to the kids, instead of collecting money from there we can go someplace gupshup and then wind up.

The whole idea is to be in it together. It is a joint effort and the fun is to meet .

Regarding the way of working where distributing food-stuffs or anything..

Instead of each one getting different things, why doesn't one person (or a small team) get the item/s - one or two - since there will be a huge quantity - and collect the amt later from whoever has agreed to giving?

Otherwise, if there are say, 50 kids/people to distribute to, then will each of us get 50 of the same item?
The item probably needs to be decided after consultation with the authorities in the ashram/orphanage as sometimes they do not agree to give just anything to the kids because they fall sick later.

Additionally, anyone can get toys/books/clothes for donating if they like to.

If we have to buy 50 of the same item like you said then again we collect money and we have to account for it. If it is a team then too we need to meet and then talk, right?

Hey Friends,

Why dont you guys plan some games to be played with the kids at the orphanage, they would love it and give away prizes,ultimately see to it that each and everyone gets a prize for something or the other . You can also do that in old age home .you know play something like musical chairs.These grannies and grandpas look very cute playing .I have tried it here for my daughters birthday and everyone of them enjoyed a lot. Its a day they will never forget and all IL ites will cherish. Please do send us the snaps .I am already waiting to see.
