...see to be honest.....oprhange like SIVANANDA GURUKULAM OR UDAVUM KARNAGAL OR SOME BIG ORGANIZATION ......are getting good response / sponsors from big shots like industrialist, cine stars etc etc.............so let us choose some small charity like whihc i have told..............they will be extremely benefited by it...since those people running short of money and other materials........and the place i suggested have 130 kids........from 4 motnhs to 15 yrs and also some mentally retareded people.............i personally visited their for my son's birthday..........so i discussed with him in detail and know about their everything, routines...whats all needed etc..........he is constructing another building now...........since the existing place is not sufficient..........so he is need of MONEY/FAN/TUBELIGHTS/KITCHEN ITEMS OR ANYTHIGN................. and their all time necessary item will be MONEY / STATIONARY ITEMS / etc.....since its is mainlky for small kids............very often they need all this............and sponsoring for food.............i feel they really dont enjoyu the same food.........bcos those kids are too young...............BUT IF U CONTRIBUTE AS CHOCLATE/BISCUITS/ OR BOOKS OR SOMETHING ELSE THAT MAY BE OF GREAT USE TO THEM................AND IF WE SPNED SOME QUALITY TIME LIKE PLAYING , TELLING SOTRIES ETC........MAKE THEM EXTREMELY HAPPY.............

Friends,...........wont we go , if our close friend/relative organise a function very far away from our place..............wont v go to any party conducted by our office even to another extreme......... or latenight party..................SO PLS PLS PLS PLS LET US TRY TO SPEND SOME TIME FOR THIS.............( person really having some family probs, helah probs, kids exams........they are excused )

..( PLS PLS DONT MISTAKE ME ...........LIKE........ IAM FORCING U TO COME TO THE PLACE IAM SUGGESTING.........BUT TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL THING.........HOPE U ALL WILL) .

Let us meet inbetween 10 and 2 .............thats more than enough.............u can send ur kids and join with us and u can go back b4 ur kids come.........see on the same day going for some other place will be highly IMPOSSIBLE...........bcos of hevy traffic..........etc.......

Friends.............this is not regular meeting.....so we cant have regular gala time or mouthwatering dishes for us...........let us all eat and come..........let us have some drink in between...........and spend all the mo ney and qualtiy time for that kids.............

someother time we can enjoy ............let us do something worthy.......

and if somebody says that.....this place is also running short of moeny ..they are in need of everything...then we can think of that place...........

AND , SINCE I KNOW THIS PLACE VERY WELL..........I CAN ORGANISE FOR EVERYTHING IF U ALL ACCEPT.................

U people living nearby can book a cab and come..........that the only expense which we will be spending for us on that day..........

And iam also ready to do some dish for all of u...........some simple item........

Lata, if you can, please would you mind organising, if all agree to this? We will make this a reality, we shall try to attend at least for 1/2 hour. If we get all the details of the number of inmates etc., each one of us could bring something (only one) and give to them.
Or else we can contribute a sum of money for the lunch of the day to the inmates and we too sit with them and eat. That will be a good ides.
One of our members felt that this would be a good idea.
Lata, if you could take the initiative, you could rope in some other member too to help you, who lives nearby. We will have to decide and plan at least now.
It seems that many members are for this idea.

Why don't you Hyderabad ladies also meet up during this anniversary. We Chennaiites have meets often ad Bangalore ladies also had had meets. The US and Middle East ladies too meet up from time to time.
Why don't you try to meet too, you know it is so much fun knowing our cyber friends in person.

Rajmi raised a very important doubt about the meet, about lunch to us and our kids.
It is miportant too, as many are commuting from long distances.
I have an idea- instead of asking the HOME to cook, why don't we arrange food from Vasantha Bhavan to be delivered to the home, in packets?
We could decide on a brinji rice or something like that for the inmates and tiffin for us members. We can also have the food at the home itself.
Eljaype suggested that we could go to Vasantha Bhavan after we finish HOME and can have our food.
But members may want to start back immediately from HOME, don't you think so?

Also, Laxmi has suggested that we coul all first get introduced, one by one, so that it would be easy for us to interact. Otherwise we might go into groups and may not be able to know everyone. That seems a good idea, what do you say?

it is so nice of you to invite us all over to your home, but many feel that may not be possible. We need to get introduced, then serve lunch to the children, have our lunch, play games with the inmates.After all this, everybody would be in a hurry to get back to their homes. So we could have a meet on another occasion, please please do not mistake me.

I would be happy if you all express your ideas here and we should decide about our plan so that we can make arrangements accordingly. There should not be confusion later on. Please come out with whatever is in mind.

That is a valid point that Rajmi has raised.If we are to take tiffin for ourseleves from hotel, are we all going pool in seperately for that? I have been to one meet so far and that was at ChitVish 's house. So far we have not met outside, so if we are going dutch and paying for our lunch or tiffin then that is fine.
As far as the kids lunch is concerned Vysan, Shanvy are sponsoring it. Vasantha Bhavan at Tambaram, someone should enqire how much the costs are, taking that it will be Rs. 50 for each kid, there are 130- 150 kids in the HOME.
Instead of giving them one variety rice, won't a whole meal will fill their stomach better?
Laxmi' idea is good and wehn we meet at Vasantha Bhvan we can get to know each other, that's being the meeting point for all of us.
