Transporting a big picture from Madras to Bombay

Hello ladies,

I am desperately looking for some suggestions here:

I have a big size Tanjore painting (Glass frame, teak around) to be transported from madras to Bombay. It is abt 12 kgs when packed.

Is it safe to do this by courier thru Speed post or Professional?

Air cargo-- pls give me some ideas.

Hi Vidya,

If it's such a costly painting that needs to be transported from Madras to Bombay, I would recommend via Rail road. Enquire about Cargo services through rail road. That's more safe.

Take a look at this site Indiamart - listing trusted Packers & Movers in different parts of India.

When we shifted our home to Nasik, I have used one of the packers & movers listed in the above site. They did a pretty decent job though the charges were slightly on the higher side. But all we wanted was a safe moving.

Thanks Akshara for suggesting rail cargo. I did not think of that option. I think it will be cheaper than air cargo. Shall explore it.

Hi Vidya,

We used Royal home packers because it was shifting the entire home stuff for us. I am not sure about their courier or cargo services. You may want to check for someone in the listing in the site professional in courier or cargo services.
