I want to learn hand sweater knitting. Earlier I was knitting, now i have forgot the designing part. I would like to recapture it. Is there any institution or individual in chennai who can teach me this.

Since you know how to do knitting it is easy to learn and by the designing part i think u refer to shaping of armholes/neck u can get it with little practice. u have lot of references in the websites. Start with a small one for a baby.
Again if u feel u need to learn from a person u try the craft classes.
