Dear Moni,
I am definitely not starting a 'pOtti' - once withdrawn, nomore jumping into the 'arena'!!
I adore & love the voluptuous Padmini & I am her most ardent fan!! No actress can match her charm, in any way. I never missed her pictures released in late 50's & early 60's!!
I once met her in EVKalyani nursing home - both of us were 'carrying'!! She looked very pleasant but very short - not more than 5'! I realised how deceptive the cinema images can be!!
Though I grieved her death, she being my most favourite heroine, I was relieved that she died a graceful, dignified death without suffering for a period, lying immobilised etc.
Do you think, she will turn in her grave today, now that we are discussing her??

Padmini is my favourite heroine too! She had the most beautiful 'talking' eyes. Who can get tired of watching Padmini and Sivaji in movies like 'Thillana Moganambal'? I have not watched all her movies. In Tamil movies there are only three actresses who looked absolutely beautiful when they were showing all the 'Navarasas' - particularly even when they were crying. Padmini, Savithri and Kushboo. Here I am talking about their faces - not their whole anatomy!!
You are correct. Padmini will be turning in her grave today.....

Hi Moni,
Now that Khushbu's mention has come, her brother is our co-tenant in our aptmts. She comes here often & I have been watching her regularly for he pat 15 yrs. Initially, her visits were with Prabhu! Now she comes with her daughters.Both mom & daughters are so 'massive' now!
Very warm & friendly & has a smile for everybody in our building!
OK, enough of gossip - Sir might chase us away!
