It is good to hear that at least in one household the idiot box is not much maligned but much 'benigned'! But that statement of yours about being 'out of touch' is a bit ambiguous. Are you out of touch with the soaps or soap ads? If it is former, then have you switched back to your toddler days using 'paitham maavu' and 'seekkai'? If it is latter, do you mean to say that you never get to see our soap ads from where you live? A great pity indeed that you are not privy to the beauty secrets of some of our most sweaty stars! Making dosa in microwave is not difficult at all. A lady in chennai makes them the traditional way and keeps them in microwave! Sri

| Okay, let me clarify, looks like I have left you in lurch here... Cheensaar.....where I live, I do not get to see much Tamil soaps, or else, catch me missing them??! Oh yes, I must not forget to thank you for the new usage of Micro...make dosas and keep them in there...for some kocha kocha dosais for afters?!...No thanks, I may as well give up on them:) L, Kamla |

That is very sacrilegious! You have no idea how your statement about 'kocha kocha dosais for afters' could hurt the sentiments of people who adore 'ericha curry'. It is a family tradition that ensures that unconsumed food is not thrown away but recyled along with the current residue. The whole concoction is brought to boiling point to ensure that the harmful bacteria perish! ![]() Sri

That was indeed a colourful reply, literally too! Before writing your FB, you seem to have mulled over every line that I wrote. What can be more satisfying to an ameteur writer than seeing such importance being given to what he writes? Thank you very much, BC The basic necessities of a human being are Roti, Kapda and Makhan (Food, clothing and shelter). From my experience I can tell you that these are the three things that endear a wife to her husband. Excellent food, well stacked wardrobe and a house kept spic and span are the three things that melt a man's heart like a block of ice on the Marina sands on a hot day! Imagine a man coming home after a gruelling day in office finds his house in a total mess, very hungry but what is produced before him for eating looks fishy and least appetising and there is nothing clean and fresh to wear after a good bath. How do you expect him to be full of love for his bitter, I mean better, half? Sri
