Dear Veda
All these makers of mountains out of molehills have a psychological problem. In simple terms, they are attention starved. There are two ways of getting attention. One is to do something outstanding, something noteworthy. Since all are not equipped to get attention through such methods, they resort to the easier alternative of making a noise over everything.

I would refer to a famous quote of F.Scott Fitzgerald-" The easiest way to get a reputation is to go outside the fold, shout around for a few years as a violent atheist or a dangerous radical, and then crawl back to the shelter" I love this quote for its profundity.

That rasagulla ad that you mentioned was very appropriate. Sometimes, these ads drive home some home truths besides selling their products! The speed with which you are learning the nuances of a happy family life, I have no doubt that you'll very soon be the best hubby this side of the equator!

Dear Sri

I had to copy paste the whole thing and take it home and doing the home work in the middle of the night… So if I am not coherent, you have to understand that I am in my half sleep… hahahahahahahahahaha….

What I wanted to convey is When Kushboo was given the Godly status she was happy and all praise for the media… Similar case for Harbhajan and Symonds… Everybody was happy when the media was all praise of them… But they couldn’t take it when it was the reversal…

But dear Sri, with these small info, what a great thread it has become and what all golden words uttered by the stalwarts of IL… Really you have made a mountain out of …. I am highlighting some of the great learnings from this thread…

It is my opinion that women are more adept than men in making mountains out of molehills. They always manage to blow things out of proportion that by the time it reaches their husband's ears the problem will sound like a mountain. – AC akka.

Hindus believe that Siva is matter and Parvathi is energy. All sensible couples remember this and respect their mutual positions! I can speak for husbands firmly. We just dont believe in poking our nose in trivial issues where the wife is better equipped to handle them. – Cheeniya.

What a great saying… I don’t know whether, I am blessed or lucky… The wisdom has come to me from the very first day… hahahahahaha Hope Shanthi is not reading this… hahahahaahhaahaha… Jokes apart, Since I like to be more lethargic and she is more talented in the house hold, left it to her to handle…

The husband failing to notice a bulging wife because he is hidden behind a newspaper most of the time or his eyes are eternally rivetted on CNN – Cheeniya.

Poor Husband, how many times will he reply to the same question, in a day… And you should accept what he says… At times he may try to be diplomatic also… hahaahahahaha….

I also learnt that Coconut is not good for Cholestral and there is a big porutham for T & P…

Men are so absent minded that they'll bump their heads against a mountain thinking it is a molehill. In fact it is this diversity of capabilities that makes our marriages a successful institution. Life will be a bore if both are alike in their perception of molehills and mountains! - Cheeniya

According to Madam's Karma theory, our end is not going to be hastened by consuming coconut oil! Be like Mark Twain who declared, "Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside!" – Cheeniya.

Thanks Guruji… Enough is enough… Had too much restrictions on the food… Now that Guruji himself has said this… Forget all diet controls and everything… Enjoy the food… Enjoy life, by eating everything…. My concept is, but for this stomach and hunger, man will not be working and struggling… I will start following from today....

Thanks Guruji, this has been an eye opener… I have and am in the process of learning a lot...

Coming back ,your timely remembrance of avvaiyar story makes khushboo’s issue more interesting.Since avvaiyar is physically inactive, she sat down with her legs pointing to shiva and parvathi. Here the reason is highly genuine and atlast avvaiyar begged her pardon to parvathi. But actress khushboo? Can we justify that it is not her mistake? Is it possible?
Your reply boosts my enthusiasm.Avvaiyar story is great !!!...I now view this thread with many roots of which one is khushboo which again has a root (Avvaiyar story).
Thanks a ton for everything sir….

Love and Regards
BC
Dear BC
As we are all God's children, age hardly makes any difference when we stand or sit in front of him. So Avvaiyar and Kushboo are to be treated alike agewise but the crux of the matter is not age in any case. It is all about the propriety of the question that we can't sit in front of Him pointing our feet towards Him. If it is wrong, then where is the place where He is not there so that we can stretch our feet in that direction? If God is omnipresent as He is believed to be, then we'll have to tuck our feet under us only!

Dear Veda
You have virtually written a thesis on mountains and molehills! All the moles of the planet must be getting excited and happy at the attention they are receiving in IL.
As regards enjoying life to the hilt, I remember always the profound words of that great actress, Audrey Hepburn,

“Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.”
