Dear Nivedi
Thanks a lot for your delightful FB as usual and I must tell you that your stature as a humorist is growing day by day!
Coming to your list of non-human talk, I am amazed to see that cockroaches are so conscious of their complexion and are even prepared to migrate to alien land for preserving their colour!
I feel sad that birdies that eat out of your well meaning hands should be so thankless. I have heard of bird brains but only now I see to what depth they can go! Do they expect you to walk extra two kilometers a day in order that they may be in good shape? Dont they know that the chappies who consume colories have to burn them out themselves?
I think that you should henceforth feed them with oats instead of nuts

Dear Kamla
First of all a big thank you for the All Geico link. Yes I agree that those cavemen are more expressive than me!
But you astonish me with that streak of cruelty in you! If you cant adopt a dog, you can at least watch it on TV. You shut of your conscience with the TV remote! But then this TV ad shows Americans in better light than what our politicians are making them to be. But tell me, does Obama or Hillary promise any better deal for homeless dogs in their election manifesto? I hope they wont ship them to India en masse if they come to power. There are already a billion homeless dogs in India.
But on second thoughts, you really touch my heart with your real reason for not wanting to own a pet. I know that globe trotting will be difficult with a dog tied to your conscience!
Let me assure you that your ignorance of animal language is a blessing in a way. The obscenities that they can utter at times are really unprintable!

Dear Shanthi
That German girl and the elephant were making really big news a couple of weeks back. And I have seen that boy that you mention on TV cawing to the crows. On hearing him, thousands would flock to him like we saw in Alfred Hitchcock's Birds! In fact, the principal ceremony of a shrardha ritual is feeding the crows as they are believed to represent our ancestors. It is usually my job to shout for the crows at the crucial moment but in all these years, no crow has responded to my shouts. My mother used to admonish me to hide behind the door and shout as crows are allergic to human presence but even that strategy never helped. Finally, the performing priest himself would come and give a shout and the crows would come by the dozen! It is sad that I am not half as appealing to crows as I am to ILites!
One of my paternal uncles had so many sons that he named his house Kishkinda! Every one has some zoo at home, some with pets and others with human pets!
I agree with how you have deciphered the animal language. I know for sure that they have a very poor opinion of humans. In fact, what you have written as being uttered by them is more on the decent side!

Dear Chithra
Yes I can hear the dogs saying 'Vanduttayya, vanthutta!' in Vadivelu style on seeing you! You have some high hopes of being chased even at this age! You thank God for not being able to understand the animal lingo but how many of us are able to understand even our fellow humans fully?
When you say that you hear birds singing Suprabhatham before sunrise, I can see your blissful ignorance of animal and bird language. You seem to think that anything that sounds sweet has to be necessarily good and sweet. What you perceive as suprabhatham may really be some unprintable expletive uttered by a lazy bird on being woken up by his DW!
Your camaraderie with the lizards at home is really heart warming!

Dear most Cheeniya sir, Hope you will accept my graceful bow ( ) for, the article and creation of yours not only speaks the language of the fifth-sensed, but also relates the link between the "so-called sixth sensed" and the "can be called discerned fifth sensed" !! The thread of imagination runs in your veins and i should say, you tackle difficult topics with great ease. If conveying a message would be difficult, realizing the same would be even more difficult. But with your creative and well analyzed posts, you make the reader spin around your axis of creation.
My father and I are great cat lovers (though their hair left us with prolonged wheezing hours with my mom running around to warn me bonk) and I take pride when I tell that we had around five cats (Snowy Leopard, Federick, Fudgy, Calvin and Hobbes) at home when I was in school. Many would prefer dogs to cats for their royalty and faithfulness are known; but cats too can be loyal enough when cared and felt. Yes. Each and every creation of the Almighty has its own pluses and minuses. I used to play with my cats as soon as I entered home from school. Not only play, but talk. I always felt that they could understand my feelings and also reciprocate. Only after playing with them will they allow me to sit with my works. Yes, once my cat pulled the ink-bottle and alas, was left with spilled ink all over my note book just for the fact that I did not pay much attention to her (that day).
I have witnessed cat's fights and have always mimicked their tone to human voices. They do fight, pull each other's leg (not in the literal sense when compared to us, the "sixth" sensed), gossip, so on and so forth goes their active list. These animal lives have been wonderfully brought forward into the lime light by "Cartoon Network" and other channels that cast animal oriented and animated programs. I have observed cats chasing rats on the land, squirrels on the barks of a tree, ants and lizards on the floor and have always relished their emotions when they encounter both victory and a loss !! Its always a paint with a rainbow of colors on their face that swifts attitudes and make us feel they act matured when compared to the carnal nature of human beings.
Cheeniya sir, all I can vouch you now is a sleep where-in am going to encounter animal conversations (as I write this, a cow outside is guaranteeing the same by signaling me Big LaughBig Laugh) and come back to this creation of yours with my encounter penned down. :)
Regards with Love
RamyaVaradharajan

Dear Sri
Just when one might think you would run out of topics and need to be invigorated here you come with yet another iridescent choice of topic which is irrefutably a welcome breeze with our fuzzy friends. I will not be in err to say you are sublime in not only choice of topic but presenting across too.
One of the advantages of coming in later is I get to read the feedbacks which are as equal to the great leader post and is worthy of being posted here.
Though I have never had a furry friend, I am more than partial to them. For some reason they have always been very friendly to me. If I visit a friends place where they have either a cat or dog, the animal makes a bee line towards me to rub itself against my legs. I am sure it has got to do more with the size of my leg which the poor thing assumes to be one of those rubbing pillars sold at pet shops !
I am also blessed to have so many different species visit my back and front yard. The cats in the neighborhood are EVER present in my yard. If someone missed their cat, they head to my house and ask permission to pick up their loved pet. At any given moment there will atleast be 2 sitting on a spot where the sun hits and is undoubtedly cozy. Thanks to them i do not have rat problems.
There can never be enough birds to look at. I am birder too and when kiddo was young took him to a national park to view birds. When I would excitedly shout "can you believe there is an osprey feeding its young in its nest"..my kid would reply Can you believe I would rather be at the hotel pool".. and dh would add "Can you beleive there are so many mosquitoes here".. and said party would rewind from location whether or not I am with party :)
I am sure the birds in my yard would talk with each other "She does not remember to feed us regularly " ..and ofcourse "She does not change water in the bird bath regularly"..And the Squirrels have a field day trying to chase the birds and they end up eating all the food from the bird feeders..Its just a jubilating medley to be on the lookout and see so many different furry friends going about their day..
I dare not think what they would talk to their young ones. Living on my yard its not a mystery if they have all picked up the innumerable advices and dos and dont I have issued to other family members:) which ofcourse I have never followed But no one needs to know do they my friend?

Dear Sri
Its my obligation to point out to your friend certain lines from your replies..
1. Your advice to feed birds OATS instead of nuts . Hmm I wonder why OATS !
2.The lazy bird being woken up by his DW !!!!!!!!!
Now even your friend cannot mistake which DW you have been talking about and which "lazy bird" that you mention here !!!!! I am sure name does not rhyme with Wish Big Laugh
