Sri Sir,
As soon as the post of Quaker Company, negotiating royalty details to me apperared,
"somebody" has bounced back in this thread !
Oh, Sri! Is there any hidden "agenda" like a share in the royalty??
Well, Sri, you may derive your own conclusions about the ulterior motto!
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Chithra ,
" the age or stage to start practising "shut mouth" is the grand parental status !" - i object ur statement ! There are lots of ' vaayillaapoochi' DILS in this world ( including me ! ) - they are taught to practice ' shut mouth' right from the day 1 they enter their ' pugundha veedu ' ! I think you are an exception ! What say you ? ! ?
Love ,
Indhu .

Dear Indhu,
Both are different types of "shut mouth" - I went through yours as well, before reaching the grandparental age-stage. This is a different type of "shut mouth". You will know about it in a few years from now!
Indhu, are you so confident, call it daring, that VR will not peep in here? - you are so voiciferous with your bitter comment?? Be careful, my friend. I am worried about the repurcussions, you may have to face !
Love,
Chith.

..Here's An update on Quaker Oats: ..
Their rep did call me and asked ME to comment on this situation!! What shall I say? I had to go with our Madam here for popularising the different outcomes with Oats and had to pretend to be shocked at your "Oatsquake" comment!!

For some reason our Oats seem to be bent on following us through all the different threads?! Do you agree??
Dear AC
So you are all ganging up to vote for oats? No problem! I see a silverlining there too. Oatomania will lead to more people switching over to vegetarianism as their esteemed equine relatives!
It is becoming increasingly difficult to walk in the streets of Chennai particularly Mylapore area without tripping over a can of oats!

Dear Indhu
"He told me that if we act so ( ignoring the sad (sweet) face of the adamant child) , the kid is sure to get a nice outlook over life , having experienced the hardships of life right from its childhood !"

Such a guidance can come only from a seasoned writer and thinker like Srisdhar and you are extremely fortunate to have a Guru in your husband!

When children get used to the idea that their demands will be met if they become adamant and make a huge show, it will be very difficult to change their attitude as they grow older. It is better to nip such perception in children in the bud for their own good.

Claiming credit for the good behaviour of children is not restricted to grandparents alone. Dont wives tell their husbands that their children are pampered to a fault by their grandparents and the children would go to dogs but for their(the parents) strictness?

No one would want to accept the blame for things that go wrong!

Dear Sir ,

Please allow me to have a small argument with you :
”Claiming credit for the good behaviour of children is not restricted to grandparents alone. Dont wives tell their husbands that their children are pampered to a fault by their grandparents and the children would go to dogs but for their(the parents) strictness? “ – I do agree with every word of yours . But when such comments come from the non- partial women ( not offending elders by their tone or words ) in the true situation , won’t you have the heart to give at least 40% marks for their noble intention ?!? Kindly bear with me sir , if I am wrong .

Regards ,
Indhu .

Royalty itself is a share and now a share in the share?
I must draw your attention to an Alfred Hitchcock movie "Birds". The movie is based on a fantasy about what would happen if all the birds attacked the humans out of their resentment against man's view of them as culinary delicacy! If horses are going to be deprived of their rightful diet by the humans, they may also rise in revolt. I dread to think of such a possibility!

Dear Indhu
Why just 40%? I'll give full marks if such comments are well intentioned.
I am for peaceful co-existence always and I have never found anything a more endearing sight than watching mils and dils who are as friendly with each other as Damon and Pythias! A peaceful household is holier than a temple!
