| Hi Raj, Try to nurse in a place with a minimum distraction. If possible try to get a nursing necklace. Around 7-8 months they start noticing their environment and will be more interested in watching but at the same time wants to eat..At 18 months Sakthi used to nurse sitting on a kitchen counter. My hubby used to make fun of us.But thats the joy of toddler nursing. Good Luck Mangai

| Raj - Sure - that happens all the time as they start to grow older and you're right it hurts! Like Mangai said the only way I know of is to nurse her somewhere quiet and if she still starts pulling away every few secs stop the feeding - once I did that a few times then Aadhu understood that he better eat instead of looking around or there would be no more milk Mangai - when did you stop BFing? Vanathi. |

| Mangai, what a great idea about the nursing necklace! I think I'll try my hand on making one. Will let you know how it goes. Raj |

| Okay, did some research on it and seems like I need to be careful about the kind of threading and beads I use for safety purposes. So, I am going to go find out how much it will cost me to make one vs. order one. Oooh, I am excited. Thanks, Mangai! Raj |

I also underwent the same scenario with my baby. As Mangai rightly said, nurse her ina very quite place, with a soft music , stroke her hands/legs gently while nursing, look straight into her eyes with gentle smile...these were the tips given by my Ped and it really worked for me, |
