i think we are talking about the same novel.i too read it before some 10 years. the child will be playing in a basement of a house or some thing like that.

Two things i remember clearly from that story is

1. When the herione first visits the hero's house the cook there will ask herione if she wants chai(tea)and then the cook herself will say " since you are from south india , i think u will like coffee only

2. The herione always wears saree and one the hero will tease her about that.But once during a travel she will put the saree around her shoulder to block the cold wind.and hero will say " now i understand the multi usage of saree"

Not only the above mentioned story line, but many novels i have read on the same time (10-12 years back)...

Few of which i got to know are
1. RC's Kanne Kanmaniyea
2. KJ' Nizhali oru nilavu (this from Penmani)
3. Kj's Vanavil
4. Kj's Unnai Kann Theduthey
all these novels i have read in the same period in Raani Muthu :)

Also few of the stories i have explained in the following thread were read by me during the same period (cud be either in Kanmani/ranimuthu).. If you come across any of these below mentioned stories u have come across or u have read before please share with me tooo...

One more novel is Pallaviyea saranam.. I guess its KJ's this too from RaniMuthu... I will brief this story line soemtimes later.....

i read this novel long time back. i don't remember the author or the story name. The story goes like this,

the hero will be in Rajasthan(not sure) . heroine goes there for some reason and stays with the hero. they fall in love.at the climax the heroine says a kid who is either realtive or neighbour of the hero.
