Review on Kids Favourite Books

Its only been months since Eragon first uttered the word " Brisingr" the word for fire in the ancient language when a dragon egg first hatched for him and he became a dragon rider. This book is all about the promises Eragon made and the loyalties that he swore to keep to various people. Will Eragon be successful in doing so ? On one hand , Eragon is longing to crush the rebellion of the evil king Galbatorix who wants to rule over the land of Alagaesia ; on the other hand , Roran his cousin is longing for a reunion with his love Katrina who the Razaac have kidnapped. Eragon and Roran know they have to help each other to fulfill their endeavours... but will the be able to forget their bittersweet past and concentrate towards the future? In this book we also we what importance one small word " Brisingr" can have on a whole lot of events and besides all this Brisingr is a book filled with despair , misery ,hope , joy , thrill , shock , agony ,love and a lot more than we can handle... deep in mystery and rich in surprise ... I think Brisingr has a surprise on every page!!!! I recommend one and all to read this book.. both children and adults. You will simply love the experience of Christopher Paolinis magical writing and a whole new world.

Tale by Po Chung-Ling.. Written by Teresa NG.

Its a story about an old elderly woman called CHEN MA.. About a mother’s love for her son. He is a hunter.
Her only son becomes food for a hungry tigress. She is left all alone, no one to take care of her, no one to bring food etc.

The other hunters kill the tigress which had eaten the old woman’s son. And bring her the Tigress’s new born cub .They say she is to butcher it for her meat supply. Its skin to make warm boots for her feet and its bones to make wine to ease the pains in her joints.

The newborn tiger cub is a soft ball of golden fur, wobbly legs and toothless gum. Chen Ma ‘s heart goes out to the helpless creature. .Instead she takes care of the baby tiger as she would take care of her own son. She feeds the baby cub soft food with her own fingers. She keeps it at her home with her.

When the baby tiger is fully grown into a big tiger. The hunters come to kill the tiger ,but the old woman would not allow him to that to happen.. The hunters think she is gone mad ..She goes to the magistrate and takes permission from him to adopt the tiger as her son.It is named Fu Chee (TIGER SON) And the magistrate also orders the hunters never to harm or hunt her tiger son.

As the old woman’s house is too small for the tiger son to live. Chen Ma arranges her tiger son to live in a cave near by. It often visits its adopted mother ( CHEN MA) with a gift like large piece of tree branch or a dead dear. Chen Ma’s needs are taken care of just as her natural son was alive.

After Chen Ma’s death (FU CHEE)the tiger son guarded her tomb nightly. .The tiger son never attacked humans or domestic animals..

Lovely book with pictures.. Love can change even the fierce and the tough into a loving soul…I think a good lesson to be learned by kids and adults…

It’s a story about an Alien named Cutie Pie by the people of the earth..
A spaceship from earth accidentally captures a lonely creature from the planet QUTA PI..
So the people from the name him Cutie pie..
The people of earth go crazy about him..His every moment is captured on tv..How he sits,how he eats how he grooms himself etc..Millions of people over the world are glued to their tv sets just to goggle at the alien creatures colourful and shimmering feathers that covered his body..He is dotted on his dark liquid eyes..which seemed liquid to the watching world …But it was due to endless shedding tears as he missed his beautiful mom and his people…The people of earth so crazy about him that everything and anything is made by the brand name CUTIE PIE on it and sold, like Cutie pie dolls ,books badges, tee shirts. .bags, cartoon seriels ,mugs etc..



By the Scientists he is put into a glass prison and the temperature is adjusted and careful portion of gases and oxygen are passed in, like to the place from where CUTIE PIE was captured..The scientist think it’s the best temperature for him..But it was a kind of torture for him.. Cutie pie felt miserable and is nearly choked to death..He was all alone ..All he longed for a friend and companion to talk to..as the scientist could understand his language nor could he understand theirs..He felt deaf, dumb, and cutoff from his world..No one to understand his feelings and language..

As days go by, he losses his beautifull feathers..they just fall off… To lose his his feathers was to lose himself ,to become naked was to become monster…To him feathers were what clothes and hair meant for we human beings… He turns from a beautiful alien to the most ugly one…Soon the people’s craze fades away, and no one is interested in him anymore..No one want to see him…all the tee shirts badges with his brand name etc is thrown away…He is all alone and cries a lots.. And one day he escapes from the glass prison into the world earth…but he is not able to go back to his mom or to his people as he is powerless and he cannot contact them..and he feels embrass and naked without his feathers…

He was astonished..As he could freely breathe the open air without being choked..the temperature was pleasant..When it rained and the raindrops fell on his body he felt like the gates of his mind opening…He enjoyed the rain…He explored the things on the earth..he had never ever seen before..He ate cactus as food and he thought it was better than the prison food..
By chance he happens to see a new born human babby..He befriends the babby..As the babby too is naked like him. The babby is almost exactly his size…He is happy to find a companion in him…He sleeps with the baby at night..in the day time he cannot meet the as he is scared of being caught ..

Slowly by slowly he grows back his beautiful feathers..And one day he goes back to his mother…No body knows about cutie pie on the earth..but only one person knows them but he is too young to tell anyone…but he says to his mother about Cutie Pie…..and his mother thinks he is making up silly stories...

I think all the mothers are same..they think we make up stories…

This is a story from my sister’s 10 std textbook…I liked it and heard it with great interest when my mom was reading out and explaining it to my sister..
