| | Book challenge in 2009
Hello Book Lovers,
We love or desire or longing to read all the good books we come across, through any medium. Some of the books we own, some we borrow from library, some from friends, few e-books, et al. But, it always remain in our memory. So, every book we read is, every book we own.
This thread is the inspiration from a blog I stumbled over.
The whole point is the book challenge.
Shall we set up the goal of fixed number of books to read and complete by the year end?
Are you interested in taking up this self-challenge?
10 books in 2009.
We can finish 10 - 15 books in the whole year.
If you are motivated to take up the challenge, you can reply here with the list of books, you are done, from Jan 2009. From now on, we can keep track our count. At the end of december, we would be surprised by our achievement.
Please let me make few jottings here:
1. The challenger can make her own choice of number of books, she wants to complete, ranging from 10 - 15.
2. The challenger can post here, only if She is done with the book and not at any stage of book reading.
3. The books can be of any language, either English or any Indian language.
4. It can be fiction or non-fiction or self - improvement.
5. We, the contenders follow the numbering here.
For ex: If Ms.A makes a entry of her 4th book, then the book name should be preceded by number four.
6. If the book is a re-read, it should be a year ago.
If you want to add some points to the above jottings, please mention it.
Hope, we can reach our goal by Dec 2009. :)

Bujji, that is a nice idea. Now my only problem is I really can't remember the books I have read in the past four months (will have to sit and think). Do you think we can start from this month meaning April. Just a thought. I will also try and dig up the books from the recent past. Will be back....:)

Am really glad you liked the idea. :)
Yeah, it is little difficult to remember. :)
But, no problem dear.
If you recollect the names, you can post it. Or, you can count it from April :)
As long as we reach it by the specified time, it will make us happy.

| | Re: Book challenge in 2009 Hi Bujji,
Interesting challenge there! Wondering how much of that will I be able to take up! I haven't read any book in the past 3 months even to remember. If you ask me for the "Want to Read" list ...then i have plenty
Nevertheless ...i will be part of the challenge...let me see if I manage at least one book!
So other fellow readers ...do join us in the challenge.
Guess comics and magazines are excluded right!?
Cheers
Jenz

Hello Tuffyshri
You are an avid reader.
This thread is only to motivate ourselves to read a specified number of good books, amidst our other work. The number we are going to face is only between 10 - 15.
Since you have completed so many books in a short span of time, I guess you can leap that range.
If you further want to post your finished books here, please read the jottings I mentioned.
Thanks for stepping in.

Dear Book Lovers,
I want to add two more along with 6 points jotted in the first post.
7. Magazines, comics, journals are not counted.
8. When you reply, please mention the book with name and author.
These are not rules but only to give us organized reading.
